3 November 2010Lebanon Fire Dept.PARAMEDIC REFRESHER TRAINING PROGRAM @ Lebanon Fire Dept. NH November 3, 4, 5, 8, 8, 10, 2010 COME AND PLAY WITH METIMAN – OUR NEW HUMAN PATIENT SIMULATOR! This 36-hour (Intermediate) or 48-hour (Paramedic) program satisfies your biannual state refresher training requirement as well as Section I of the National Registry reregistration requirements for ALS providers. Join us for a case-based review of trauma and medical emergencies, cardiovascular, ob/gyn, neonatal and behavioral emergencies. ALSI instructors will introduce you to all of the new AHA 2010 ACLS topics including thrombolytics, 12-leads, and pharmacologically assisted Endotracheal Intubation (RSI). We will also recertify your ACLS provider card (if your card is in-date when you attend). This year each day will be dedicated to a specific topic such as trauma (renew your PHTLS card), pediatrics (renew your PEPP and PALS card) geriatrics (renew your GEMS) card, and medical emergencies (renew your AMLS card). Extra fees charged to renew AMLS and PHTLS cards ($10 each). Please provide copies of current cards. (To renew PALS, make sure you have the new PALS text ($35) and complete the precourse test, additional $5 card fee). Come prepared to not only sharpen your pencils, but to sharpen your skills with plenty of one-on-one, hands-on practical skills review. METIman is an interactive human patient simulator designed for pre-hospital training. Unlike other refresher training programs you have attended in the past, ALSI Instructors will work to bring you in-line with what’s “on-line” for prehospital medicine in the year 2010 and beyond! We welcome all ALS providers for this dynamic program. Tuition: $400.00 (includes tuition, materials, and ACLS recertification. If you do NOT have the new ACLS text, it is an extra $30.00.
